Level Up Your Career: Collaboration between UpMyBusiness and SAEK AKMI

Athens, April 29, 2026
We would like to sincerely thank the AKMI Group for their invitation and warm hospitality at their facilities. Having the opportunity to stand alongside the new generation of professionals was a truly meaningful and enriching experience for us.
The Meeting
As part of the Open Day organized by the Department of Aesthetics at SAEK AKMI, we had the opportunity to meet and engage with dozens of students and future beauty professionals — the practitioners of tomorrow. What impressed us most was the maturity and clarity with which they described what they feel is missing from their education: skills not related to performing treatments themselves, but rather to communicating with clients, building trust, and operating effectively within a modern aesthetic medicine clinic.
The Educational Session
In response to this need, we delivered a one-hour educational session titled:
“Level Up Your Career: Gain the Soft Skills That Will Help You Stand Out in an Aesthetic Medicine Clinic.”
During the session, we explored the key pillars that shape a well-rounded professional in the industry: from handling phone calls and conducting consultations, to cross-selling treatments, managing objections, and collaborating effectively with doctors and the wider team. Special emphasis was placed on the philosophy that consultation is not about selling, but about educating the client and helping them make informed decisions.
The students showed exceptional interest, actively participated, and asked insightful questions that demonstrated how consciously they approach their professional future. At the end of the session, everyone was given the opportunity to receive a free mini handbook containing all the key takeaways discussed — a practical guide they can carry with them from their very first day at work.
What We Learned from Them
As part of the event, we distributed a short questionnaire, which revealed several very interesting insights.
69% of participants stated that they would like to begin their career in an aesthetic medicine clinic, while a notable number also expressed ambitions of taking on leadership roles in the future.
At the same time, almost all respondents highlighted the development of sales and patient communication skills as a top priority, confirming what we observe daily in the clinics we collaborate with: technical expertise alone is not enough.
Closing
We left this meeting feeling optimistic. The new generation of beauty professionals — those who may become part of an aesthetic medicine clinic — possesses vision, ambition, and, most importantly, awareness of what it truly takes to stand out.
The UpMyBusiness team is here to help them achieve it.
