What you can change to achieve the maximum performance of your team

In our day to day we must try to be flexible and let things evolve naturally when there are constant changes. However, when it comes to managing a dispensary, we cannot leave things entirely to chance. It is important to act in a timely and methodical manner.
So, to become better we need changes, and to differentiate ourselves through our performance, we need those changes to be systematic and serve specific purposes.
But instead of talking about “change,” we can use words like “evolution,” “update,” “upgrade,” and the like.
But until we get to the point of making “changes” in the business, it is very important to see what we can improve through our own actions. The main actions that should be a priority for a doctor-entrepreneur are:
- Systematic monitoring of the main performance indicators of the clinic to understand what is working well and what needs to be changed
- In-depth analysis of each decision (instinctive decisions are not always the best solution).
- Carry out short meetings to harmonize the ideas and actions of the whole group.
- A properly structured training program to better train the clinic team, both in the scientific part and in the field of the appropriate approach to patient needs and sales techniques.
To help your team perform better follow the following path:
First of all, do not make the mistake of turning into the team psychologist. It is important to listen to their problems, but remain impartial and not discriminate or have obvious preferential treatment towards any member of the party.
Now that we've cleared up the emotional part, let's look specifically at what we can do for a results-oriented team:
- Set clear responsibilities for each team member.
- Establish clear goals for each period and communicate them to employees.
- Offer performance bonuses as a reward for good results.
- Regularly organize training seminars.
- Help them develop their organizational and communication skills.
- Ask them often for their opinion on services and procedures.
- Keep them well trained on the process of preparation, organization, documentation, and research, not just the methods of execution.
Now to the question of who has time to deal with and implement all these things, the answer is one: EVERYONE. For an organism to function smoothly, it needs all its mechanisms to move in the same direction. Each element is important regardless of the level of performance of each one. It is necessary that we all participate in the agreed procedures constantly. And when I say everyone, I mean even us as a company that constantly offers seminars and training programs to medical and non-medical personnel and often happens to be directly involved with the objectives and processes of each business.
Success is based on perseverance.
